1st day @ doggie school Bandar Utama Park - 15.4.2012
Woke up early on a beautiful Sunday morning... didn't
sleep well the previous night due to afraid that I might be late
for school. Got myself ready and went out to meet up with Stephanie &
Spice. Actually it was Spice’s first day @ doggie school.
Parents (owners) of their doggies were there at the
registration counter and everyone was mingling around with each other. Not only
the parents (owners), but the doggies too were networking around with their own
way. Big tough doggies and cute little ones were there on the first day of
doggie school of Bandar Utama Park.
There were all kinds of dog breed such as: German
Shepard, Rottweiler, Labrador Retriever, Alaskan Malamute, Siberian Husky,
Beagle, Basset Hound, Dachshund, Poodle, and etc.
Stephanie intro me to her friends Sean and partner,
nevertheless the furkids... Joe, Bobo and Sophie – The Poodle Family. Then I was
partnering with Bobo in class. Mr Manu our doggie trainer told us that we need
to always have a plastic bag with us at all times when we walk our dogs. He
also showed us how to walk the dog and whenever we stop, the dog must be at our
left side. When we give commands, we need to be very specific. e.g. Sit means
only sit. We cannot say sit down to the dog because SIT and DOWN has its
differences.
During the drills, Bobo was very clever and he stops
when I stop. When I say sit he sits. Other owners were having problem handling
their dogs, but it was fun and get to learn from the others. Whatever challenge they have, i get to learn =)
It's a FUN day with the dogs... proud of Spice on her 1st day @ doggie school.

adrenaline rush
Went for Capoeira Angola training @ Academia de Grupo Bantus Capoeira M'sia. Tonight's training was quite simple but tough. It's a repetition of last week's sequence.
After a while, it's kinda sync into your body. Our body will then absorb certain movements just like a "snap".
When class was over, that's where the adrenaline rush came to me to get movie ticket to watch Battleship.
It was a GREAT movie to watch and it was worth my time, energy, and money. I will watch again.

The Borneo Flower (Bunga Terung of Borneo)
Borneo, Land of the Hornbills is also well known for its Tattoos as well. There are lots of different tribes and all tribes have their own style of tattoos. One of the famous tribe in Borneo is called "Iban" or also known as The Head Hunters and they have all kinds of tattoo design patterns evolve from animals and plants.
I am honoured to have a pair of Bunga Terung on my own body even though I'm a Chinese boy. We are proud to be a Sarawakian and I have all the respect to the Iban culture and heritage. The pair of Bunga Terung is not a decoration on my body because it symbolizes a coming of age tattoo which marks the journey of teenage boy turning to his adulthood/manhood. Nevertheless, it is also a symbol of protection.
There are lots of people out there having this tattoo without knowing the meaning and they split the pattern and placed it on the wrong areas of their body. I would appreciate those who are going to have the Authentic Borneo Tattoos on them, to further understand the meaning of the patterns and embrace and pass down the right story to others. This is the only way we can preserve the Authentic Borneo Tattoos and Heritage.
Allow me to share some information on this unique pattern from the Iban. The direct translation of the The BungaTerung, means eggplant flower. This design is the first tattoo a Borneo male would receive. The Bunga Terung pattern can be placed on the back, buttocks, shoulders or chest. It should never be done singularly because this is to ensure protection for both sides of the body.

The spiral at the center of the Bunga Terung is known as the Tali Nyawa (which means the rope of life) symbolizes the person’s life force. And there are some villages say that it originally came from the spirals on the belly of tadpoles which symbolizes the beginning of a new life.
As to the number of petals; whilst the wearer may be from any ofthe Iban or Dayak tribes, different villages would have slightly different designs. Or some will say the petals surrounding the Tali Nyawa symbolizes Strength and Power.

Pisang Fall - Jungle Trekking + Waterfall Abseiling (16.07.11)
It was super awesome to experience the following activity organised by the GTZ. We went for a waterfall abseiling at Pisang Fall. The whole adrenaline rush was really flowing in my entire body despite my mind playing tricks about leeches.
While waiting for our turn, my mind was constantly playing tricks in my head on leeches and i can't really enjoy. But, once i reach up there and then abseil down the waterfall. It was speechless and the only word I use is AWESOME!
I think by sharing the following photos, you all will feel the same as I felt.
Stay tuned for more exciting activities....
